Pest Control Custom Baiting System in Pittsfield, Westwood, Albany, Phillipsburg, and Nearby Areas in New York
Serving New York with Pest Control Custom Baiting Systems
Baiting systems are a less aggressive form of pest control, but more complex. However, this does NOT mean they are less effective. In the long run, baiting systems may even be more effective and can also be used in conjunction with a more aggressive treatment such as a gas or spray.
The idea is to place the baits in custom places in your home based on the rodents' specific habits and nightly routes. The rodent will eat the bait, and though he may not take it to share with others, he will, unlike snap traps or D-con, leave the structure to die.
A pro-active treatment should be done to eliminate as much of the colony as possible, if the nest can be found. The next step is to place baits in the areas that the ants are known to occupy. Any surviving ants and any other colonies will then come and take the bait back to the colony where it will be distributed. The bait may even be circulated to the source colony outside the structure.
For Termite Infestations
A pro-active treatment is also necessary. The area should be sprayed and possibly pressure-injected with a termiticide then the baiting system should be set up. The termites inside the structure have been eliminated, but the outside source is still active so eventually there will be a re-insurgence. Knowing this, we place monitoring stations at intervals around the structure and check them periodically for activity. When a station becomes active, the bait is placed (or may have been placed from day one) inside and the termites will take it to the main colony where the poison will be spread.
